Project Description

Conceptualization, design development, and construction management coordination of Starbucks Coffee coffeehouses throughout the Asia Pacific region. Primary nuances were cultural affluence, local construction management and practices, and brand identity.

Accomplishments

Lead designer and primary source of contact for first Starbucks Reserve store in Indonesia (Grand Indonesia). Participated on 40+ projects, including five high profile stores, across the Asia Pacific markets - most notably Indonesia, Thailand, and Taiwan. Acclaimed success with prototype for transportation real estate (Gambir Train Station) and historically relevant sites (Metropole XXI).

Working across multiple markets each with their own business, construction practices, and regulatory bodies has added affluence and sympathy in both my design sensibilities and project management capabilities.

Role

Conceptual designer and project manager for Starbucks Coffee; incorporated brand concepts and company mission into store environment. Provided comprehensive design intent packages and construction drawings to local construction team.
